Talya is a Mind-Body practitioner specializing in QiGong, Meditation, and Somatic Journey.

prior to working as a Mind-Body practitioner, she has spent 20 years working as a journalist and creative director in the fast-paced publishing and tech worlds of NYC (W Magazine, WWD, T, Departures, Robb Report, OpenSky.com, Georg Jensen, Movado), while also studying Meditation, Conscious Movement, Breath-Work and Energy-Mapping.

In 2018 after reclaiming her own health and healing, Talya began her studies in Interactive Somatic Imagery, Homeopathy, and Journey Process. She has been fortunate to train in QiGong and NeiGong at Pathfinder institute in NYC with its founder Thomas Droge, at The Institute of Integral QiGong & Tai Chi with Dr. Roger Jahnke, and with Master Zhongxian Wu- a lineage holder of 4 QiGong schools.

Talya has directly apprenticed in Somatic Imagery with acclaimed facilitator, Miri Harari, completed Harvard University’s Mind-Body Medicine program, and is certified as practice leader in Medical QiGong.

Talya loves working with people seeking balance, presence, self awareness and clarity to reduce stress, support their innate healing process, actualize their potential, and walk their authentic path.

QiGong

QiGong 氣功 is a branch of Chinese medicine. It is an embodied wellbeing movement practice that is focused on cultivating your energy and working with your physical, mental, and spiritual awareness.

As we learn to access our energy systems, we can begin to consciously increase the free flow of energy through our body’s networks; managing daily stressors, enhancing our vitality, and becoming more relaxed & awake.

There are many different forms of QiGong. They all include connection to nature, regulation of the nervous system and the cultivation of higher states of consciousness. Other benefits include: improved organ function, mood, and quality of life, as well as reduced stress, depression, pain, anxiety, and fatigue.

Our practice often combines slow, fluid movement. meditation, rhythmic breathing and self-applied massage.

Private and group sessions are available virtually and in-person.

Somatic Journey

Somatic Journey is an interactive guided imagery process that’s focused on accessing the subconscious mind and can effectively uncover and resolve potential sources of physiological and psychological healing challenges at the root level.

During the sessions clients are guided inward to access information that’s ‘held’ in their body, release and process layers of emotions and tap into their own latent inner resources for healing.

Somatic Imagery Journey is an empowering and inspiring Mind-Body tool and is beneficial for anyone interested in taking a deeper look at a repeating pattern, a relationship , illness, pain, or any stress-related health concern.

Adults and children sessions as well as group workshops take place in person and over zoom.
